Distributed photovoltaic power generation refers to:

"In the construction of non-power consumption facilities on the ground or using agricultural greenhouses, access to the grid with voltage levels of 35 kilovolts and below (66 kilovolts and below in Northeast China), the capacity of a single project is not more than 20,000 kilowatts, and the generation capacity is mainly absorbed in the grid-connected substation area. The project will be incorporated into the management of distributed photovoltaic power generation scale index, and the local photovoltaic power station will be connected to the grid by benchmarking poles. This is the framework drawn by the Energy Administration. Subsequently, the State Grid Corporation made its own explanation. In the Circular of State Grid Marketing  174 on the Issue of Distributed Power Grid Service Management Rules, the definition of Distributed Power Supply is as follows:
The first type is distributed power supply with a total installed capacity of no more than 6 MW at a single grid-connected point and a voltage level below 10 KV.
The second type is distributed power supply with 35 KV voltage level access and annual self-service of more than 50%, or distributed power supply with 10 KV voltage level access and total installed capacity of single grid-connected point exceeding 6 MW and annual self-service of more than 50%.
The third category: the access point is the public connection point, the power generation project that generates all the electricity on the grid, the small hydropower, the distributed power supply except the first and second categories. In line with the principle of simplicity and efficiency, the grid-connected service should be well done, and the relevant regulations of the State Grid Corporation on conventional power supply management should be implemented.
The first and second categories basically represent roof and ground distributed projects respectively, and the third category corresponds to the distributed projects with full access mode.
